Some fun cards at Scattered Paper, inside Potpourri of Shops

People need more laughter, so we decided to get some humorous cards in the shop. Just in case you didn't know, myself and 2 other friends have a vending booth in downtown Newburgh, IN. Here are also some photos of our display.

Mother's Day Card

I watched a video this morning that Melissa Phillips did for piecing a card similar to this. It is gorgeous. I didn't have that die cut from Papertrey, but I wondered about the sunburst I had. There is a circle in the middle and separated by lines, but moving them all together and adding the circle at the point, really helped with aligning them. I am pleased with my outcome, and thankful to Melissa Phillips for showing the idea. Enjoy! Taylored Expressions "Ray of Sunshine" die cutting plate, and Shade Tree Sentiments were used, along with Spellbinders D-Lite "Vines of Passion".

Easy Cards Using Die Cuts

Some of the die cuts coming out are just plain irresistible. Ok so I am broke again trying to "get them all", but a few I have worked into a card class that I taught recently at Doodlebug Inc, in Jasper, IN The cards are mainly die cuts and then I used the peel off greetings from Starform Stickers. These are very handy to have when you are making multiples. Most of the dies I worked with are from Spellbinder. But there are Penny Black and Impression Obsession dies as well.I'm going to try to keep the blog updated now, so hopefully you will find something you can use too. I also used Just the Rite Stamp and a butterfly from PB as well. The ribbon is from May Arts. Of course everyone has to see what's happening when I set up to take a photo (still learning how). Only 3 of them showed up for this session.

Spellbinders Embossibilities and Sticker Greetings

This is another very easy card. All I did was rough up the edges of the reindeer image piece and layered it on green. Add the gold bow and sticker greeting, and wah lah! I have been using so many of these sticker greetings, from Starfoam. They come in black, silver and gold, and are very easy to use and look so elegant.

More Christmas cards to share.

The dove is a Cottage Kutz, and the holly branch a Penny Black. I have been using ribbon a bit this year and adding very little to make an elegant, yet easy card. All the ribbon is from JoAnn's. Hope you enjoy.
